CASCADE BILLING explained:
A method of billing whereby, on account of individualized contract schemes, the distribution of the total amount between the various insurance providers is not known when the invoice is created.
The first invoice for the total amount is issued to the first insurance provider who pays the portion for which it is liable. When this payment is received, an invoice for the remaining amount is issued to the second insurance provider, and so on until the original invoice amount has been completely cleared.
