In the rows of the restriction matrix are all the restrictions which you have created for a location. In the columns are the sales orders listed according to product and location. The use of a restriction in a sales order is indicated by an X in the corresponding cell of the restriction matrix.
The restrictions required for an order are determined using the characteristic value matrix. In this matrix, all combinations of characteristic values relevent to the order are indicated by an X. Then the system checks to see whether a suitable combination of characteristic values in the restriction exists for the combination of characteristic values from the order.
