SENDING COUNTRY explained:
The country from which an employee is sent on a global assignment.
The sending country is not necessarily the employee's country of origin or home country.
Example
An employee who comes from Australia originally works for an American enterprise. He works for his home enterprise as an expatriate for three years in the United Kingdom and then for a further three years in the Netherlands. In this case, the USA is both home country and sending country. The United Kingdom is also a sending country but not the home country.
