EXCEPTION ACTIVITY explained:
An SAP Auto-ID Infrastructure activity that can be triggered as the last activity of a rule when an error occurs during activity processing. An exception activity can be assigned to any activity. If the activity detects an error situation, it exits with the status "exception" which prompts the system to execute the associated exception activity, roll back the database, and stop further processing of the rule.
