EXTERNAL EVENT category: Production Planning for Process Industries (PP-PI)
EXTERNAL EVENT explained:
Event that can be used as a condition in PI sheets and manufacturing cockpits to carry out a function automatically.
Unlike internal events, external events originate in other applications (for example, OPC server). Using the internal "Manufacturing Data Access" interface, PI sheets and cockpits can access external events.
