INDEX CATEGORY category: Text Retrieval and Information Extraction (BC-SRV-KPR-RET)
INDEX CATEGORY explained:
A logical unit of the Index Management Service for identical sets of documents with different languages.
This is only relevant if Retrieval and Classification (TREX) is implemented outside the portal.
Document information (such as language, or author) is mapped to an index category. The category is assigned to one search server relation, and to one search engine and its indices. A prerequisite for the creation of an index category is that a search server relation must be defined.
