STOCK SEARCH explained:
Function in extended order generation with which the SAP APO system determines product receipts with specific characteristics.
If there is a requirement with specified product requirements in extended order generation, then the stock search is used to determine a corresponding product receipt.
All receipts in the corresponding pegging area are taken into consideration. The usable receipts are are determined by comparing the value assignments of the receipt with the requirement requests.
