REFERENCE SUBSTANCE explained:
A substance used to copy value assignments to another substance.
Several reference substances can be assigned to one substance. The following rules apply:
All value assignment types for the reference substance that have been assigned a value are transferred. However, values assigned to a value assignment type by the user take precedence over references. If several substances are referenced, each value assignment type can be assigned values for a reference substance once only. The value assignments of reference substances must not overlap.
