INSERTION explained:
Delivery of an issue inserted in another issue.
The most common example is the insertion of ad pre-prints in normal daily newspapers. This option for distributing ad pre-prints is available to the advertiser with the ad pre-print order.
In addition to inserting ad pre-prints, many advertisers also choose direct distribution to ensure the fullest possible coverage of their target group.
