PICKING explained:
The process of grouping goods (materials) from the warehouse on the basis of sales orders, deliveries, or for staging materials for production.
According to VDI Regulation 3590, page 1, picking is the grouping of certain partial quantities (materials) from warehouse stock on the basis of requirements from the Sales or Production department.
In the Warehouse Management System (WMS), picking takes place based on transport orders. We distinguish between picking from fixed storage bins and random picking.

- Manual Pegging (IS-AD-GPD):
- Help the prorated assignments for a replenishment element (purchase order, production order) for combined material requirements for the individual WBS elements or projects that caused the appropriate picking definition.
