A Billing Engine Application (BEA) provides billing data (that is, makes it ready and available) for retrieval by non-transactional follow-up applications such as the SAP Business Information Warehouse (SAP BW).
Note: Providing data for a follow-up information system is NOT the same as actively transferring billing data to a follow-up accounting application.
