Each new policy version has an effective date that is the same as, or later than, the effective date for the previous policy version. If a change takes place for an effective date, for which policy versions have already been created with later effective dates, they must be reactivated.
Reactivation reverses all policy versions with an effective date that is later than the effective date for the desired change. Policy versions with the same effective date are also reversed, if the interval end is later than the effective data for the desired change. The policy version, for which the effective date and the interval end are the same as, or earlier than, the desired effective date, is reactivated - meaning that it becomes the current policy version.
