SUBSTITUTION RECEIPT title: substitution receipt (SCM-APO-SNP) (SAP Library - Glossary)
SUBSTITUTION RECEIPT category: Supply Network Planning (SNP) (SCM-APO-SNP)
SUBSTITUTION RECEIPT explained:
Receipt that is created for a product during an SNP planning run that involves product interchangeability. This receipt is created when a product is to be substituted by a successor product.
If a product is to be substituted by a successor product during product supersession, the demand for this product is transferred to the successor product in the Supply Network Planning run. The system then creates a receipt (an SNP product substitution order) for the predecessor product in the "Substitution Receipt" key figure to clear the demand for the product and creates a demand for the successor product in the "Substitution Demand" key figure to transfer the demand to this product.
