OBJECT TYPE (SRM-CI) explained:
A template that defines objects.
There are two kinds of object types: Object types that contain a single piece of data and object types that contain object type associations. The latter object types bundle pieces of data to form meaningful units of information, the former are not allowed to have any object type associations.
Each object type is derived from an object super type.
Object types can function as object super types or object type associations for other object types.
